The Kadokawa Group

Kadokawa Holdings restarted in April, 2003 as a holding company, and shifted from the second section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange market to the first section in September, 2004. Our company aims to increase the centripetal force of the whole Group through management integration and to further increase our corporate value. Kadokawa Holdings has under its control, Kadokawa Shoten Publishing Co., Ltd., Media Works Inc., Kadokawa SS communications Inc., Media Leaves (ASCII Corporation, Enterbrain), Kadokawa Pictures Inc. handling movie/visual business, Kadokawa Herald Pictures Inc., Kadokawa Entertainment Inc., Kadokawa Media House Inc. handling advertising and the Building Book Center Co., Ltd. handling logistics/warehouse management. We call ourselves a “Mega Content Provider” as a “comprehensive media enterprise in the publishing and movie/visual business”, and we hold the most important issue of the group strategy to be the expansion of our business fields. The two wheels on which the Group runs, namely the publishing business and movie business, cover an ever wider span, and we have now completed the formation of this structure that is absolutely unique among corporate entities in the Japanese media industry.
